In 2008, as a veterinary surgeon, I was troubled by the plight of unwanted farm animals. Caring for animals like Isaac, a piglet, revealed their expressive and loving nature. During a reflective drive, I asked, “What would I do if I couldn’t fail?” The answer: start a farm animal sanctuary. In 2011, I purchased a neglected 6-acre property, transforming it into Hope Haven. This sanctuary aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by voiceless animals. The property includes a bank barn, renovated sheds, a poultry house, and environmental initiatives, providing a safe haven for animals and fostering public empathy.
